Our manager is currently training to be a level 3 forest school leader. We hope to be an official forest school in November. To the left is our new fire circle which is gated for safety. Below the children will be using the tepee to create there own debris shelters.
Some of the forest school principles:
•Forest school promotes holistic development helping learners to become resilient, confident, independent and creative.
• Forest school aims to develop the physical social, cognitive, linguistic, emotional and spiritual aspects of the learner.
•Forest school sessions encourage learners to take supported risks using a risk benefit process appropriate to the stage of development of the learner.
Forest school uses tools and fire if the learner is developmentally ready
